Henderson/Vance County Heritage Trail Walking and Driving Tour 252-438-2222 A self guided walking tour of the downtown historic district featuring properties listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The tour includes homes, businesses and government buildings that reflect various styles of architecture and noteworthy examples of distinctive building styles from the past, especially the 18th and 19th centuries. The downtown starting point is the Fire Dept./Clock Tower, circa 1908 located at 205 N. Garnett Street. A driving tour of county historic sites and points of interest is also included. Maps and brochures are available at the Vance County Tourism Office located in the Crossroads Shopping Center at 946-T West Andrews Ave. in Henderson. (252) 438-2222.
